Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026 · Steadycase is a product line of AlbusWorks LLC.

The short version: this public site does not require a Steadycase account, and the purchased workbooks and PDFs do not contain tracking code. We may use privacy-conscious website analytics or advertising attribution to understand how people find Steadycase and whether our outreach is working. We deliberately collect as little as practical — your case belongs to you, not to us.

1. What we don’t collect

This is a static website. We do not require a Steadycase account, and we do not receive or store anything you type into your notebook. The workbooks and guides run on your own computer or, if a Google Sheets edition or copy-link option is provided, in your own Google account. The downloadable workbooks, PDFs, and guides do not contain advertising pixels, analytics scripts, or other tracking code.

2. What is collected, and by whom

Checkout (Lemon Squeezy). When you buy a Product, our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, LLC, collects your email address, payment details, and billing country to process payment, calculate sales tax/VAT, and deliver your files. We receive your email address and order details, not your payment card. See Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
Hosting (Cloudflare). Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) to serve and secure the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Privacy-conscious analytics (Plausible). We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate visits and actions on this public site. Plausible processes the page visited, referring site, campaign parameters, browser/device information, and approximate location without using cookies or creating a persistent cross-site profile. We record four site actions: Field Guide form submission, checkout click, Compass upsell click, and sample-page opening. We do not send the form email address or its contents to Plausible. Campaign attribution. An approved campaign link may include a source, medium, campaign ID, and content label. If all four values match our restricted campaign vocabulary, the site keeps them in your browser’s session storage for the current tab/session and appends them to a hosted checkout as order custom data. We do not add an email address, search query, case information, document, or persistent user identifier. Unrecognized or malformed values are discarded.
Fonts and icons. Pages load the Inter typeface from Google Fonts and an icon stylesheet from the jsDelivr CDN; those services see the request your browser makes.
Email list (Kit). If you choose to give us your email for the free checklist or product updates, Kit processes your email address, opt-in status, tags or form-source information, and related email-delivery data. We use that information for the checklist, educational emails, and product updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Support email. If you contact [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever information you include in the message. Please do not send sensitive case details unless they are needed for product-support purposes.

3. How we use what we have

Order and support information is used to deliver files, answer support questions, handle refunds or wrong-state purchases, maintain business records, and improve the Products. Email-list information is used only for the Field Guide, educational emails, and product updates you signed up to receive. Website analytics and attribution information is used to understand aggregate traffic and campaign performance. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use customer email lists for ad targeting unless we first update this policy and obtain any consent required by law or platform rules.

4. Retention

Order and related business records, including the minimal campaign fields attached to an order, are retained as required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes. Campaign values held in browser session storage end with that browser tab/session. Support emails are kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle support and maintain business records. Email-list entries are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, subject to any records we must retain.

5. Your choices and rights

You can use the entire site without creating an account. You may request a copy or deletion of the information we hold about you (note that our merchant of record and tax law may require us to retain order records) by contacting us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy law.

6. Children

The site and Products are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with an updated date.
